Our speakers this year range from leadership authors to fighter pilots to astronauts. Known for their work in coaching fellow leaders or leading large organizations, these eight speakers will bring a wealth of knowledge to the Leadercast Live stage. Considered to be one of the most influential speakers in the U.S., Andy is a leadership communicator, a best-selling author and the founding pastor of North Point Ministries. Though his church is based in Atlanta, he reaches a worldwide audience with nearly 1.5 million of his messages, leadership videos and podcasts accessed each month. His passion for engaging live audiences brings him face-to-face with more than 200,000 people at church and leadership meetings. Andy has authored more than 20 books, including Deep & Wide, When Work & Family Collide, Visioneering and Next Generation Leader.
The first female F-14 Tomcat fighter pilot in the U.S. Navy, Carey has flown missions worldwide, operating in fast-moving, dynamic environments where consistency and precision are needed. Carey now shares the lessons she learned in the all-male environment of fighter pilots with others—lessons like building credibility, how to lead high-performance organizations and diversity training.
Ian is a best-selling author, psychotherapist, Enneagram teacher, Episcopal priest and host of the Typology podcast. Ian uses the Enneagram personality types to help leaders grow with self-awareness and emotional wisdom. His latest book, The Road Back to You: An Enneagram Journey to Self-Discovery, has brought the Enneagram into corporations and organizations as a unique tool for developing leaders. He is a key advisor to clients such as Discovery Channel, Ramsey Solutions and the Michael Hyatt Company, among others.
Born without legs, Jen defied all odds when she began her career as an acrobat and aerialist. When she was born, her biological parents left her at the hospital, but she was adopted by a family who encouraged her that anything is possible and to not let ‘can’t’ be part of her vocabulary. This mentality led her to follow her childhood passion for gymnastics, competing against able-bodied athletes to become a state champion in power tumbling. Since then, Jen toured around the globe in Britney Spears’ World Tour and is now an accomplished speaker and author of Everything Is Possible.
Jim is a groundbreaking performance psychologist and author whose science-based energy management training system is recognized worldwide. With more than 30 years of experience in applied research, he believes the single-most important factor in success is the strength of one’s character, which he says can be trained in a similar manner to muscle strength.
This belief led him to co-found the Human Performance Institute, the pioneer in training business leaders to strengthen their energy so they can achieve high performance while dealing with stress, competition and change. Jim’s elite clients include world-class athletes and corporates executives.
Joe is a four-time World Series champion as manager of the New York Yankees, and a nine-time All-Star player. He was inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame in Cooperstown, New York, in 2014, and the Yankees retired his number 6. He is currently the chief baseball officer for the MLB, overseeing areas that include league operations and on-field operations. Joe is also chairman of the Joe Torre Safe At Home Foundation, was appointed by President Barack Obama to serve on the National Advisory Committee on Violence Against Women and has served as co-chair of the U.S. Justice Department’s National Task Force on Children Exposed to Violence since 2011.
Kat Cole is a distinguished self-leader, very active in advising and investing in startups, and an avid humanitarian in some of the poorest areas of the world. Kat is a Young Global Leader of the World Economic Forum. She started a foundation to fund creative, sustainable approaches to education and self-sufficiency and is one of only two foodservice company leaders listed on CNBC’s Next 25 List Innovators, Leaders and Disruptors—2014. She is passionate about creating and highlighting opportunities, innovation and community building that come out of the foodservice industry. Before being promoted to COO and president of FOCUS Brands North America, Kat spent four years as president of Cinnabon Inc.
Kat made her mark in franchising, business leadership and brand building with a servant-leader mindset, approachable style, penchant for business model innovation, and ability to build flexible, entrepreneurial-minded teams that love what they do and drive strong financial results.
Founder and CEO of Michael Hyatt & Company, Michael is a leadership author, speaker and coach. His company specializes in transformative life events, workshops and planning tools. Before starting his own leadership development firm, Michael became a best-selling author with his books Living Forward and Platform, among others. His latest book, Your Best Year Ever, released in January 2018. He and his wife of almost 40 years, Gail, live outside Nashville.
Not only is Mae an engineer, physician and NASA astronaut, she is the first woman of color from any country in the world to go into space; she flew aboard the Space Shuttle Endeavor in 1992. After six years as an astronaut, she became a strong voice for science literacy across the globe. Mae has founded The Earth We Share international science camp, technology consulting firm The Jemison Group and medical technology company BioSentient Corporation.
Mae was inducted into the National Women’s Hall of Fame in 1993 and the International Space Hall of Fame in 2004. She is currently a member of the National Academy of Sciences’ Institute of Medicine, a trustee of Morehouse College, and a speaker on health care, social responsibility, technology and motivation.
HOST: Tripp Crosby
We’re thrilled and honored to welcome Tripp back as emcee at this year’s Leadercast Live, bringing laughter and energy to the stage. Best known as the taller half of Tripp and Tyler, a world-famous YouTube sketch comedy duo, Tripp began his career behind the camera. He owns Green Tricycle Studios, the branded arm of Thruline Entertainment, which produces content for major bands such as Coke, Verizon and Cannon.
In 2014, Saatchi & Saatchi selected Tripp as a member of the Cannes International Film Festival New Director Showcase for his work on A Conference Call in Real Life. Tripp is currently developing his first feature film and works closely with the city of Atlanta to help foster the rapid growth of the content-creation business.
